Prices are really cheap when compared with other stays. Good pub nearby which serves breakfast as well. Andrew Keam2024-09-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I arrived at this wonderful little campsite in early September and I have to say what a gem it is for the price we paid. The owner and his son are very friendly and did everything they could to accommodate our needs. They have toilet and shower amenities and an undercover pot wash area which are average but useable but for £10 per night non EHU for both of us we couldn’t complain. The campsite is situated close to a main road and you can hear traffic clearly of a daytime but is quiet of a night, the country views and star filled night time sky are lovely. There is a donkey sanctuary next door and you can see and hear the donkeys, which was good. There is also a pub over the road which we didn’t visit. We hired a fire pit and purchased logs from the owner which were big bags and burned nicely for hours keeping us warm until very late. They hire out small caravans and also have a B&B. We can’t wait to return to this site next year with the rest of the family. Marianne Andrews2024-09-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Terrible facilities. Don’t think they’ve seen a cleaner or any bleach in a long time. Pay to use showers (there was one working for a full campsite). Do yourself a favour and camp at the Bull n Thorn next door. The facilities look positively palatial by comparison. Lois Eaton2024-09-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lovely site for a quiet break, however there was no mention on the booking site that showers cost £1 via slot meter. These are in a portacabin and were appeared satisfactory but did need a clean when I went. This should be mentioned on the booking site I feel as for a family that’s quite an additional cost. Also there are other sites locally charging the same nightly rate with free showers. Adam SID2024-08-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nice little weekend getaway from city life. Nice place accommodating. Friendly. We stayed in a 3 bed property. Own entrance 2 rooms with shower n toilet. 1 large loft conversion. Asked about extra room as friends came over. Couldn't do enough to help and accommodate us. Also provided extra matress for no extra cost. Would defo stay again and have also passed details on to friends. Emma Haxby2024-05-12Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. DO NOT STAY HERE!! The facilities were disgusting, haven't seen a cleaner in weeks/months. Quiet after 10pm, I preserved with my noisy neighbours until 2am when I packed up and found a lay by to stay in. I suggest anyone wanting to stay in this area to pay the extra money and stay at the Bull Inn opposite! Barry John2024-04-19Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Booked for the weekend, pulled in but didn’t stay. Looked like a dump.
